About Michael D-L Jordan/David-Lorne Photographic
Michael David-Lorne Jordan has worked as a professional photographer for over 24 years. His work has covered the gambit of commercial photography, from coffee to cars. After receiving formal education in photography, he traveled many miles over the roads of Michigan learning the diversity of the craft, from the studios of Detroit to the industrial fields of Dow Chemical. It is this diversity that contributes to the uniqueness of each image he now creates.
Jordan was an early convert to digital photography, noting how it has changed the craft for the better. The new tools free him from the darkroom, as well as providing the magical delight of seeing the shot immediately. He uses the most advanced cameras and lenses available to ensure the best image quality from each exposure. He is often commissioned to shoot commercial, landscape, editorial, and product photography.
In 2007, while working closely with The Nature Conservancy, Jordan’s photographs were chosen to be part of an exciting book – “Michigan: Our Land, Our Water, Our Heritage”, published by University of Michigan Press. His work can also be found in private and corporate collections. His photographs have also won several ADDY Awards, his most recent for a poster campaign created for the Memorial Healthcare Cancer Center. Jordan lives in Mid-Michigan with his wife Mistie, their son Zane, and their dog Buddy.
